Robotic-Based Optical Disc Duplication and Printing System Sets a New Price/Performance Standard
Composer is a low-cost, turnkey duplication system that can be configured for either CD-R or DVD-R/CD-R. It duplicates and optionally prints up to 50 discs per job from any Windows-based PC. After a duplication job has been started, the process is automatic and no further operator intervention is necessary.
A "pick-and-place" robotic arm transports discs from an input tray to the integrated CD-R or DVD-R/CD-R recorder. After recording, the disc is transported to an optional Primera Technology Ink-Jet or Thermal optical disc printer where it is printed and then stacked in a 50-disc output tray. Composer's patent-pending picking mechanism is exceptionally reliable and is designed specifically for unattended use.
Composer comes equipped with PrimoDVD 2.0 mastering and duplication software from Prassi. The software runs on Windows 98/ME or 2000/XP. Prassi, a division of well-known software vendor Veritas and a respected software supplier to the CD-R duplication industry, has partnered with Primera Technology on Composer to offer a complete solution.
Adding an optional Primera Technology Signature II, Signature III, Signature IV or Signature Pro CD Color Printer or Inscripta Thermal CD Printer to Composer is as easy as plugging in a few cables and loading printer driver software.
A related product, based upon the same disc transport mechanism but with no CD-R or DVD-R/CD-R recorder, is called the Conductor Printer Autoloader. The Conductor automatically loads blank or recorded optical discs into and out of a Primera Technology Signature II, Signature III, Signature IV, Signature Pro or Inscripta printer. Conductor may be factory upgraded to a Composer CD-R or DVD-R/CD-R Duplicator.
Composer and Conductor are ideal for businesses of all types that duplicate their own CD-Rs or DVD-Rs and need an efficient and highly reliable method of duplicating and/or printing the discs. Applications include music recording, software distribution, data archival, photography, medical imaging and more.
