Signature Pro CD color printer is ideal for any business or organization that performs in-house duplication of CD-Rs for data, software distribution, audio, music and archival purposes. The printer's advanced Ink-Jet technology, which produces a stunning 2400×1200 dpi -- 2.88 million pixels per square inch, yields extremely high print quality on graphics and text and prints photographic images in stunning quality and realism with no visible dot patterns.

Utilizing a breakthrough bi-directional printing technology and wider print area, Signature Pro can print full-color discs with 100% coverage in just 15 seconds. With five separate print modes from which to select, users can specify the level of speed and quality desired. This makes Signature Pro ideal for either stand-alone operation or for integration into high-speed disc autoloaders and duplicators.

Industry leading dual cartridge print technology utilizes both a black monochrome and three color ink cartridge (Cyan, Magenta and Yellow) to achieve the ultimate in image quality. Black text and graphics are crisp and clean while colors are still bright and vibrant. A "tacky" surface due to layers of ink on the disc is virtually eliminated.

In addition to the increased print quality, the simultaneous use of a black monochrome and color ink cartridge means a longer life span for each ink cartridge. With Signature Pro the number of discs per cartridge almost doubles, offering longer print runs between cartridge changes and a significantly lower cost per printed disc.

Signature Pro comes complete with printer drivers for Windows 98/ME and 2000/XP. Also included is "SureThing™ First Edition for Windows", a design program created specifically for the unique shape of CDs and DVDs. For those who prefer to use their own Windows design software, the Signature Pro's printer driver software will automatically format the image to the proper size of the disc and "knock-out" the center hole when printed. A built-in color matching software called PrimaColor™ is packaged with the Signature Pro. This allows the user to print true photo-realistic images or create disc designs that match industry-standard color tables.



Signature Pro also includes an exclusive early-warning ink-level monitoring system. It tells the user how much ink remains before a run of discs is started and estimates how many actual discs can be printed based upon an on-the-fly analysis of how much ink is required for a particular image. This feature is especially beneficial when Signature Pro is used in conjunction with an unattended autoloader or automatic disc duplicator.

The printer prints onto a wide variety of printable-surface media, including CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R or any other 120 mm optical disc with a printable-surface.

Optional adapter kits are also available for business card shaped CDs (58×86 mm) and 80 mm mini-discs. For the best print quality and durability, the use of media from one of Primera's Authorized Media Partners is recommended. Current media partners include Maxell, Microboards PrintWrite, Mitsui, Ricoh and Verbatim. Also, Primera's own Signature-branded CD-R media feature a protective coating called Tuff-Coat™. This unique surface allows ink to dry immediately, eliminating any chance of smearing due to handling.
