Industrial-Strength Bar Code Label Printer Sets a New Price/Performance Standard
Cyclone is a low-cost, heavy-duty bar code label and tag printer designed to produce superior images and deliver long life in a wide range of labeling applications. It prints any combination of text, graphics, photos and bar codes onto either Direct Thermal or Thermal Transfer labels and tags. Media up to 4" (101.6 mm) wide by 25" (635 mm) long may be used and print speed is user-selectable from 1" (25.4 mm) to 4" (101.6 mm) per second.
The printer is ideal for businesses of all types that need a tough, reliable printer for producing labels and tags. Its simple, straightforward design makes it easy to operate and maintain. An attractive yet durable 18-gauge steel cabinet and high-impact plastic front panel makes Cyclone appropriate for use in a wide range of industrial environments such as factories and warehouses as well as offices and retail stores.
Printer driver software for Windows 95/98/ME and NT/2000 is included. Also included is a highly capable, yet easy to use, Windows software package for label design called PrimaBar.
Utilizing the Windows operating system, users may select any TrueType or other Windows-compatible font. Literally thousands of fonts are available, giving virtually unlimited design flexibility. Logos, graphics and photos may also be printed onto labels for fast and easy product identification. In addition, Cyclone includes 15 internal fonts and 18 of the most popular one- and two-dimensional bar codes for "legacy" applications in which a proprietary command language may be in use.
Two Cyclone models are available: Cyclone C-1000, designed for front-feed, tear-off label printing; and Cyclone C-1000P, which includes an internal rewind mechanism for taking up the label backing paper. This allows on-demand, peel-off operation of one label at a time. The internal rewind can also be used to rewind printed labels with the backing paper still attached. Approximately one-third of an 8-inch diameter supply roll can be internally rewound.
Both models sell for hundreds of dollars less than other bar code printers that have comparable specifications.
